When it was announced that Hedi Slimane becomes the new Creative Director at Celine, there was no doubt in anyone’s mind that he would swiftly revamp the minimalist label that Phoebe Philo had so carefully constructed during her tenure as creative director in order to create something everybody missed since his departure from Saint Laurent.
