About us
Welcome to Backyardarchive!
An organic passion for clothes and the growing necessity of sustainable thinking resulted in our vision for changing the way people shop their favorite designer garments. We want to create a realm for the young and old to find themselves in timeless and long-lasting pieces that are set apart from trends, logo mania and other superficialities. Expensive clothes only get expensive if you source them in the wrong way - for us it is important that our buyers will not lose huge value of their purchase - with sometimes even great possibility of a value increasement over time.
Backyardarchive consists of two young brothers from Vienna who share the same love for high-end clothing and see fashion as a way of creating your individual appearance. Thats why we focus on extremely limited or hard-to compare pieces that sometimes even only exist once such as samples or runway prototypes. We have been able to grow a global supply-chain of brands, boutiques and private sellers that help us source the best of the best from our favorite designers such as Haider Ackermann, Miuccia Prada, Raf Simons, Hedi Slimane and more.
Our portfolio includes of a range of designer clothes, shoes & accessories, including grails that mark highlights in recent fashion history. We give our customers a trustworthy source for their desires while making them accessible at a reasonable price point.
At the end of the day, we are a company that has to sustain itself financially but we invest nearly all of our profits directly into our archive pieces, that we sometimes rent out but do not put out for sale - which draws to our main goal: creating one of the best designer archives in the world and making Vienna an important part of modern fashion.
While our main business is selling the clothes we pick out ourselves we also consign items that fit our collection and offer many of our pieces for rent.
We are insanely proud of the growth of the last years and have worked hard one the biggest project of our life: a brick & mortar boutique in the heart of central Vienna. Further information will be released soon.
