The Piece

When we saw a new floral bomber at the Fall Winter 2018 runway show, we immediately knew that Haider created something that won’t be forgotten too quickly. While many still didn’t get over the iconic SS15 chevron jacket, this beautiful piece stayed under the radar at first, but now counts as one of his most sought after pieces. The slightly cropped jacket features a relaxed fit, with long sleeves, a classic collar (with a brown underpart that reminds of his time at berluti), an allover floral jacquard pattern and a ribbed hem.

Fall Winter 2018 was the time of one of our favorite collections from columbian-born Haider Ackermann. He implemented various of his signature characteristics like velvet bombers, floral patterns, flowy shirts, oversized coats and interpreted it in a very refreshing way that besides its outstanding materials & patterns still remains very wearable on day to day basis.

Fall/Winter 2018 was a standout season for Colombian-born Haider Ackermann, delivering one of his most beloved menswear collections. This time, Ackermann revisited several of his signature elements—velvet bombers, floral patterns, flowing shirts, and oversized coats - but reinterpreted them with a fresh, modern twist.

Known for his skillful balance of opulence and accessibility, Ackermann crafted each piece to be visually striking yet effortlessly wearable, making high fashion feel approachable for everyday life. The collection’s luxurious materials and intricate patterns, including rich velvets and delicate florals, offered a sense of refinement while retaining the ease and comfort that has become a hallmark of his work.

Ackermann’s oversized coats, with their bold silhouettes, added an element of drama to the collection without sacrificing practicality. Flowing shirts and structured bombers blended seamlessly with his rich, layered designs, creating an aesthetic that was both polished and relaxed. The attention to detail was evident in every piece, as he infused each garment with a timeless quality that could transition seamlessly from day to night.

Fall/Winter 2018 encapsulated Ackermann’s unique ability to merge artistry with wearability. By refining and reinventing his signature motifs, he once again delivered a collection that celebrated individuality and sophistication, capturing the hearts of fashion enthusiasts around the world.
