SS18 Moon Landing Printed Denim Shirt
The Piece
Neil Armstrongs' words about his first impression of the moon are fondly remembered, but so are the pictures he and Buzz Aldrin took. It turned out that three of the rolls of film, which included photos and videos from the moon, ended in a stack of 1,150 old video rolls that an engineer bought at a US space agency auction in 1976 for 217$. Neither NASA nor the buyer suspected the recordings were in the pile, but the engineer accidentally discovered them and put them on for auction decades later.
This shirt features one of those iconic, new images from the historic moment across a collared denim material. It was released one year after the Calvin Klein EST. 1978 introduction, which was created under Raf Simons creative direction, and it definitely stood up to its iconic predecessors.
