Dries Van Noten Spring/Summer 2005 followed the designer's landmark 50th show celebration, presenting a tropical, freeing collection that emphasized white and lightweight fabrications. The lineup featured floral prints across silk jacquards, Crewel embroidery on linen pieces, and intricate beading details that spoke to Van Noten's signature craftsmanship. Printed cotton pieces appeared alongside crisp white shirts and voluminous striped trousers, while leather bomber jackets came with golden linings, hidden hoods tucked into collars, breast patches, and elastic hems and cuffs. Models wore delicate headpieces that quietly elevated each look, reinforcing the collection's sense of refined comfort and elegance.
