Miuccia really wanted to bring back total kitsch, like those pictures of kissing couples on posters of historic ham from the sixties. People love it when two people kiss in the movie, but when two people do that next to them on the subway they feel disgusted.“

We all remember 2016 as a very great year in fashion, but especially the collaboration between Prada and Berlin-based French Artist Christophe Chemin was one of our highlights. He created ink and pencil illustrations based on an evolving dialogue between him and Prada, which started with a conversation on Instagram with Fabio Zambernadi, Prada’s chef of design. The outcome was a hugely successful collection full of pieces that featured unique drawings from Chemin, all exclusively created for Prada.
