SS21 Brown Chevron Jacquard Bomber

This beautiful bomber Jacket was one of our favorite pieces from the SS21 capsule collection and showed Haider's signature strengths with a beautiful boxy cut bomber silhouette combined with his iconic chevron & checkerboard pattern. The cuffs & waistband, as well as the zippers are kept in tonal black which pairs beautifully with the brown jacquard fabric.

It was famously worn by Drake & Timothee Chalamet both showing the versatility of this piece with a different styling approach. Drake was wearing in a casual look with black jeans & Sneakers and Timothee pairing it in a more classical way with the matching trousers from the collection and black leather Boots.

Haider Ackermann's signature Jacquards are made using a linen base that is embroidered with silk to achieve the desired pattern. The appliance of the silk changes based on the reflection of the light and gives each piece a very luxurious appearance. The linen base of the material gives the pieces a sort of raw feeling that makes wearing the piece very intimate.

the Collection

The SS21 collection from Haider Ackermann went a bit under the radar since there was no official Runway show and not a lot of press about the collection. Due to all the corona chaos Haider Ackermann decided to utilize his limited resources and create a limited capsule collection that focused on his signature silhouettes using some of his iconic fabrics. The collection only consisted of 10 looks total and was presented via a look-book that was only sent to selected retailers. The looks of the collection perfectly showcased the genius of Haider Ackermann and included some of our favorite pieces in recent years.
