Flames and bananas are not always something you wanna combine, at least if your name is not Miuccia Prada. Even tho this shirt could definitely be the fashion interpretation of a Hot-Wheels car, it creates something very special and unique. The first day it will feel weird wearing this shirt, and the second you won't wanna wear anything else anymore.
Miuccia Prada has always been one of those designers who enjoys referencing her past collections. Fall/Winter 2018, reintroduced some iconic archival prints like the rose print from FW05, a banana print from SS11 and a lipstick print from SS00, all exquisitely pieced together with other designs.
The highlight of the collection were the short sleeve shirts with split prints and quickly gained a lot of popularity and social media attention, due to the likes of Jeffrey Goldblum, Pusha T and more. It’s safe to say, that just like every other collection, by looking to the past, Prada managed to capture the zeitgeist.
